The Senior team had an excellent win against Craughwell recently, which sees them qualify for the quarterfinals of the championship. It was a great all round team performance and such has been the consistent level of improvement over the championship that they will feel they can give St Thomas's a run for their money in the quarterfinal. That won't be for several weeks however. In the meantime they take on Rahoon-Newcastle in the City League Final on Thursday evening (26th) at 8:00pm in Pearse Stadium.
Our Junior-A teams good championship form continued with a four point victory over Sarsfields during the week.
Our Junior-B team are also having a good championship season and they are in action on Friday (27th) against Kinvara in Ballinderreen at 7:15pm.
Our minors play TynaghAbbeyDuniry on Sunday next in Loughrea at 6:45pm.
Cashel U16s have qualified for the quarter finals of the championship having won four group games with one left to play. Playing Killimor in the first game the lads were slow to gel and were lucky to come out with a win. In the second game against Ardrahan they were made work all the way for their victory. Against a very good Gort team an excellent second half saw the lads come away with victory, and last Monday in poor weather conditions they were victorious against a strong Kinvara team despite not playing to their ability. Next group game is against Turloughmore on August 13th and the quarter finals are fixed for the week after. Well done to all involved. Special mention to the excellent condition of the pitch despite all the rain we have had.
Our U13s were beaten by a very good Clarinbridge team in the quarter final of the championship a few weeks ago. Despite going behind to two frees the lads rallied well and went ahead with a goal from Aaron Connolly. Unfortunately they could not hold out until half time and Clarinbridge themselves goaled to go in at the break three points up. The second half saw some great hurling from both sides but despite the best efforts of Matthew Kilgannon, Cathal Wall, Thomas Kimball, Eamonn Flynn, Sean Neary, Alan Duggan and Stephen Coyne, Clarinbridge were victorious by six points. Well done to all the lads on a great effort all year and this group will continue to train over the next few months.

Thanks to all the young players who attended the Cul Camp at Castlegar recently. Despite the poor weather, hopefully you all enjoyed it and improved your hurling.
