HURLING NEWS

Our teams at various ages and grades have been very successful in recent days, well done to them all.

Our Junior A team continued their good championship form with an excellant 5:14 to 1:11 win over Padraig Pearses.

Our U16s got their championship season under way with a 2:14 to 1:10 win over Killimor, next up for them is a home tie against Ardrahan.

Our U13s recent championship wins against Ballygar, Kilnadeema Letrim and Craughwell have earned them a quarter-final place.

Our U12s won their summer league games with Carnmore, the win gets them back in contention with two group games to go.

Many thanks to the volunteers who have been manning the Castlegar stand at the Volvo Ocean Race all week. We will be there until the event ends on Sunday so visit us in the Bord Failte/Discover Ireland tent if you haven't already. We have had a huge number of visitors to our display so far, amongst them An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

The Cul Camps are almost upon us so go to www.kellogsculcamps.gaa.ie to sign up and avail of the €5 per child discount.

As always our Club Shop is open 6:30 to 7:30 on Tuesdays upstairs in the Clubhouse.
