CASTLEGAR GAA CLUB NEWS:


The senior team have a busy schedule of late. Following their dramatic Championship victory over Kinvara they have since defeated Oranmore-Maree and Carnmore in the City League. Next up in that competition is Abbeyknockmoy. They also have a senior league encounter with Kinvara before their final Championship group game against Craughwell.The Junior A team are due to face Pearses in Carnmore next Wed evening (4th) and the Minors face Craughwell next Sun (1st) in Athenry at 12:00 noon.
The juvenile club are no less busy. The U8,9 & 10s Parish League concluded last Sunday morning, many thanks to all the players and mentors for making that such a success. Also on Sunday morning our U11s took on Offaly club St.Rynaghs as well as Kilnadeema-Letrim and hosts Eyrecourt, well done to the players and their mentors who performed superbly. The U13 championship and U12 summer league are well under way and the U16 championship is due to begin with an away game against Killimor next Tue(2nd) evening at 7:00pm.

Don't forget the Kellogs Cul Camps are from July 16th to 20th at Castlegar Pitch, prices are €55 for one child, €45 for a second child and €40 for a third of fourth child. You can get an application form from the club, but it is €5 cheaper to book online atwww.kellogsculcamps.gaa.ie, provided you have a promotional code off a Kellogs cereal packet.

The clubs 'Fones4Life' fundraiser towards a defibrillator is entering it's final week, please support this by dropping unwanted old mobile phones in the bins provided at the schools and clubhouse, or just hand them to any club coach or official.

Come and visit us at The Volvo Ocean Race, the club have a hurling display in the Bord Failte tent near the Harbour Hotel, all visitors are welcome.

As always our Club Shop is open 6:30 to 7:30 on Tuesdays upstairs in the Clubhouse.
