: Project 2022, a Successful Outcome

A huge thank you for the input and great success last sat.  We are all delighted with the response.
The next part of this exciting journey is to put together a team of people for our documentary and to find young people for the launch of the theatre project.

So, just to confirm: the Galway Film Centre are going to work with us over the summer making a documentary out of our theatre group activities.

We will be trained by the centre in documentary making - camera work, production etc.

We are in the process of putting a team together that will have two purposes: 1/ receiving training from the film centre (free of charge) and subsequently making the documentary.  2/ Helping to get young people involved in the theatre group (aged between 13 - 18).  There will be three groups in the theatre group: actors, set design and music - so if you know young creative people - please spread the word.

Lastly, dates for the first training session - in film making are: tues 5th and weds 6th of June. Apart from an opportunity to have fun making a documentary this is particularly a great opportunity for anyone wishing to follow a career in theatre, documentary making or acting etc...

All those interested, please contact me asap...

The DRA Theatre Company launches on 9th June, 2pm at the Castlegar Hurling Club - (to be confirmed by castlegar club).
