Holiday and School's Information

There's lots to do this Easter

With the February mid-term now over, the Easter School holidays are just around the corner. Schools will close from Monday April 2nd until Friday 13th April inclusive

Junior and Leaving cert students will spend much of the break preparing for their exams - check out some of the resources available to Junior & Leaving Cert students along with some great articles for parents and students on managing exam stress.

There's plenty available to keep the younger kids entertained over Easter. We have lots of ideas for Events, Camps and Family Breaks, so whether it is Easter Egg Hunts, Easter games and crafts, Activity Camps or Leisurely breaks you'll find loads to choose from on

Make the most of Parent Teacher Meetings

Our 'How to make the most of Parent Teacher Meetings' article is one of the most popular on the site so we thought we'd just remind those of you who have parent/teacher meetings coming up to have a quick read.  The time allotted to each parent at thesemeetings is understandably quite short so it helps to do a little advance work to maximise this valuable time. Ensure you get the most out of the meetings by reading our planning pointers.  We have also made available our Parent/Teacher Meeting planners to download for both primary and secondary level.

Clayton Hotel - Fab Family Break Competition

We are delighted to announce that the fabulous Clayton Hotel, located in Ballybrit, Galway has joined us on Schooldays.ie.  The Four Star Clayton Hotel is the perfect base for exploring the vibrant city of Galway, while enjoying all of the family fun activities that the area has to offer.  To celebrate the Clayton Hotel has given us a fantastic two night family break for two adults and two children.

Choosing an Easter or Summer Camp - the questions to ask!

When looking for a childminder or a tutor for our kids we'll all take the time to do a bit of background checking and ask lots of questions so as to ensure our child will be well looked after and safe.  Sometimes with kids camps we forget to ask the important questions.  Maybe it's because they only attend for a short period of time or perhaps it's because it's the local camp and 'all the kids are going'.

Camps are a fantastic opportunity for kids to try out new activities but it is important to satisfy yourself that your kids will be properly supervised and properly instructed particularly if undertaking sports activities.  Just like we have done for Tutors and Childcare, we have compiled a list of questions you should ask when choosing a camp for your child so have a read if you are planning to send your kids to an Easter camp this year.
